St. Thomas Aquinas finished their day off strong at OFSAA.

The girls defeated the last seeded team in their pool E.S.C. Nouvelle-Alliance 5-2 this afternoon. Kylee Neniska got the hat-trick with Kiera Riehl scoring two more.

"It feels great. The girls are very excited about their two wins that was the goal they set for themselves this morning and they were able to achieve it," said coach Lauren Penner.

The Saints now face the second seeded team in their pool, King's Christian Collegiate at 10:00 tomorrow morning. A win tomorrow would put them in first in their pool setting them up against a weaker team in the quarterfinals.

Penner talks about what they'll be focusing on tomorrow.

"I think we need to focus on maintaining control of the ball, using everyone on the field and being able to shift as a unit. We can't give up easy opportunities and break down in our systems. We also definitely need to make sure all the girls stay hyrated because it is very hot and humid down here. We had some problems with that today," she said.

They defeated the first seeded team in their pool, E.S.C. E.J. Lajeunesse 3-0 earlier today.
