The St. Thomas Aquinas senior girls volleyball team has advanced to the NorWOSSA “A” gold medal game.
The Saints got by the Ignace Falcons 3 sets to 1 in the semi-final Wednesday afternoon.
The Falcons won the first set, but the Saints roared back and won the next three.
TA will now face Rainy River in the final.
Also tomorrow, the Saints junior girls will play for gold and the TA senior boys basketball team also has a bye into the gold medal game and will play Northern Lights, who beat the Ignace Falcons 58-52.
The Saints junior boys play Northern Lights High School from Atikokan later today in a semifinal.
