The St. Thomas Aquinas senior boys basketball team has won the NWOSSA “A” gold medal.
The Saints took down Ecole Secondaire Catholique De La Verendrye this morning in the NWOSSA final 45-31.
The Saints will be competing in the All-Ontario championships in Timmins March 6th to 8th.
Meanwhile, Beaver Brae’s senior boys basketball team takes on the St. Ignatius Falcons in a best-of-three NWOSSA “AA” championship.
The first game is tonight in Thunder Bay at 5:00, with game two tomorrow morning at 9:30 and game three, if necessary at 1:30 Saturday afternoon.
