The Northwestern Health Unit has reported four new cases of COVID-19 in the region.

Three cases are in the District of Rainy River and one case is in the Sioux Lookout region.

There are currently 10 active cases in the region.

Provincewide, 848 new cases of COVID-19 were reported today. Of the 848 cases, 534 were among people that aren't vaccinated, 76 were party vaccinated, 189 were fully vaccinated and the vaccine status is unknown for 49 of the new cases.

NWHU recommends that everyone, including those who have been vaccinated, assume COVID-19 is in their community and practise preventive measures like physical distancing, wearing a mask in enclosed public spaces and when physical distancing is a challenge, good hand hygiene, and not touching their face.
