The company that owns this radio station today announced layoffs impacting 11 staff members company-wide.
Acadia Broadcasting operates 18 licensed radio stations plus an online business news website in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Ontario.
In a news release, the company states “the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic since 2020 have been many. Like many others, we have had to adjust our business to today’s reality.”
President Chris Pearson calls today’s news unfortunate but notes Acadia is proud of its record of community engagement and believes it will continue to entertain, educate and inform the listeners in the markets they serve.
