More than 40 skiers and snowboarders came out to try their luck at Mt. Evergreen's Slush Pit Sunday. With temperatures soaring into the mid-20's, it was more like summer skiing than spring-like conditions.

With all the snowmaking they'd done over the course of the season, there was still enough of a base for participants to find their way down the slope. Volunteers had also worked hard over the last couple of days, in an effort to carry off their rite of spring in style.
