Last night’s hit of snow has caused a few road closures in northwestern Ontario today, and travellers on Highway 17 are asked to keep a close eye on its conditions today.
Residents are advised that Highway 622 is closed in both directions between Ignace and Atikokan due to road conditions.
Elsewhere, Highway 17 was shut down between Shabaqua and Dryden early this morning, but the Ministry of Transportation is reporting that issues have been resolved and the road has reopened.
Conditions are expected to continue to be slick today with more potential flurries in the forecast.
