Rick Cousins from the Lake of the Woods Control Board says they're definitely looking for rain, as water levels continue to be low.
"Lac Seul is a bit longer at responding to the spring melt, and I think it could still come up OK. Lake of the woods, where we are at the end of June on Lake of the Woods really depends more on spring rain fall than it does on the snow," he said.
He adds that we will need above average levels of rain through the spring.
"We are still quite concerned where we are starting out. We are below normal level and there's not a lot coming in. So we will need probably an above normal rain fall through the spring to get good water levels for the summer," he said.
Friday's forecast shows a 60 per cent chance of showers, after a week of sunshine.
