Residents in the downtown core will be treated to a morning of bells this Sunday.

St. Alban’s Church Carillons Bells Committee announced that they will be having a celebration with their new electronic church bells this Sunday, June 19.

The dedication will begin at 11:00 am following the usual Sunday morning service.

The tones will ring for approximately 20 minutes featuring a selection of sacred as well as secular music, all bookended with a majestical “eight-bell peal.”

This new system of digital bells replaces the previous one that fell silent 25 years ago.

St. Alban’s Church would like to dedicate this celebration to “all those who have served us on the battlefields of war – and on the battlefields of COVID-19.”
