The Kenora Swimming Sharks have returned from a successful weekend in Winnipeg where they competed in the Manitoba Saskatchewan Championships. Swim Sharks coach, Bruce Fisher says that he was happy with the results.

"We had some really strong breakthrough swims and we had kids who were just right on top of their game qualifying for new things and making qualifying times for the first time," he said.

He also said he was happy with how well the team did as a whole to get them to eighth place.

"I think we placed eighth overall, it doesn't sound like much, eighth place, but if you look at the teams were up against, they're like four to five hundred in size and we're like forty something," he said.

He added that over half of their team had qualified to compete in the event.
