Grade 12 student Cole Zabloski put on his own Songs in the Key of Life show at First Baptist Church Friday evening. The performance was part of an assignment for his music course at St. Thomas Aquinas.
"We call it Songs in the Key of Life because it is a concept show. The show starts from a story of basically life from birth to death." he said.
T.A. Director of Musical Studies Darcy Ura said that this assignment, "Gives the students a sampler of what they're getting into as a career choice."
Zabloski covered songs by artists such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, the Beatles, and of course, Stevie Wonder, whose 1976 album was the inspiration for the show's name.
