Wilma Scott is the green thumb behind Wilma's Market Garden. She was on the Harbourfront early this morning setting up for the second Matiowski Farmer's Market of the year. Scott says she's been participating in the markets since the beginning.
"I've been here since the very first market that was held at McLeod Park," she said.
The first markets were held a decade ago, back in 2005. Scott said gardening is what she loves.
"It's just in my blood. I've been gardening all my life and I just couldn't stop," she said.
Scott grows all the her vegetables, herself, here in Kenora. Today, she has a selection of green onion, rhubarb, kale and more. The Matiowski Farmer's Markets take place every Wednesday from 8:30 in the morning until 2 o'clock.
