Emergency responders in Red Lake spent Friday night battling a large fire at the Thirsty Moose Bar and Grill – but the building is a total loss.
Owner Tyson Pitura says no injuries were reported and an investigation into the cause of the fire is expected – but he adds the building was not covered by insurance.
“Red Lake has shown so much support in the last day since this has all happened. I am so heartbroken. I want to thank everyone for their kind messages and hopeful thoughts,” he says.
“I also want to thank the Red Lake and Balmertown Fire Departments, Jayson Botel, OPP and First Responders for ensuring the safety of all who were involved,” he adds.
Moving forward, Pitura says he hopes to continue operations in a new location.
