Three more COVID-19 cases have been reported by staff with the Northwestern Health Unit. They include one new case in the Kenora region, and two in the Rainy River district.
Staff add that COVID-19 outbreaks at the Atikokan General Hospital Extended Care and Riverview Manor in Rainy River have both been declared over. The NWHU says enough time has passed with no linked cases to show that spread of the virus in these facilities has stopped.
As always, anyone with any COVID-19 symptoms are asked to self-isolate and get tested, and remain in isolation until your test results are known. Tests must now be scheduled at assessment centers.
Ontario’s currently under a stay-at-home order, which means you should only go out when necessary for essential needs like food, medication and exercise, and you should not visit with others who are not in your household.
But staff add that If you live alone, you are allowed to visit with one household outside of your home.
