Today is Earth Day! Students across northwestern Ontario will be celebrating today with various initiatives to become a little more green.

Over at Open Roads in Dryden the recently formed Eco-Team will be participating in the Worldwide Vegan Bake sale from 12:30 to 1:30.

The proceeds from the bake sale will be used to purchase the materials needed to run the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup, scheduled tentatively for May 9th, and for other green projects at the school.

The school will also be creating an Earth Day flag that will be sent off to join others to make one gigantic flag at the International Climate Conference in Paris later this year.

In Kenora, the Arts Hub will be holding a potluck from 5:30 to 7:30.
