It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our son, Travis Redsky, on June 27, 2023.
He leaves behind to mourn are his parents; Lisa Wapioke (Lorne) and Vernon Redsky (Marilyn) and his children; Jonah Redsky, Twins; Jett & Jayde Redsky, and Rylee Jane Redsky. He is survived by his Kokom Jean Redsky. He always loved to see her at family gatherings. He is survived by his siblings; Troy Mandamin (Kelly), Cory Mandamin, Lorne Jr Redsky (Jacinta), Heather Redsky, and Brenda Freel (Rob).
He leaves his aunties, Lorraine Fair (Vernon), Lorrie Mandamin (Jim), Christina (Wayne), Judy (Jim), Dina Mandamin (Kevin), and Karen Tom, Debbie Landon (Micheal). Uncles; Randy (Mable), George Landon Jr. (Liz), Gerald Mandamin, Derrick Mandamin, Calvin Mandamin, and many cousins and extended relatives. Too many to mention. He also leaves his nephews, Breven and Omry, Zayde, Troy Jr. Romijn and Tanner, Corbin and His nieces Phylisa, Ainsley, Trina and Montana.
He loved and cared for all his cousins. As he always had nicknames for all of them. He called them his brother and sisters, as he grew up with most of them. He leaves them with lots of fond memories.
Travis is predeceased his kokom, Ella Mandamin; Grandpa, George Landon Sr; Auntie Arlene Redsky and his cousins; Whalyn Penace, and Lloyd Redsky Jr., Travis missed his kokom Ella tremendously, he often talked about how much he missed her. Travis loved the area where his kokom lived. This will be his final resting place, where he always felt comfort and peace.
He was a proud member of Iskatewizaagegan Independent First Nation, where he was raised by his Mandamin, Redsky and Wapioke families.
Travis worked at the Health Centre for a number of years. The health staff, community members and WNHAC staff loved Travis. He was missed when he left, he left a big void. Travis had a generous heart; He was always willing to help a friend when he was needed.
Travis loved the game of hockey, his love of the game started when he was a very young age. He had played with Shoal Lake Flyers for a number of years. He also loved the game of golf, he was at his happiest when he was on the ice or the greens, he made plenty of friends through these sports.
