Two charged with possession and break and enter in Kenora

Two Kenora residents are facing numerous charges following a break and enter at a Kenora residence.

Kenora OPP says on August 17, 2022, they responded to a break and enter call at a residence on Rupert Road. Prior to police arriving on the scene, the suspects fled in a vehicle. A short time later, officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.

At that time, both individuals were arrested and officers located and seized suspected illegal substances, including methamphetamine and cocaine, Canadian Currency and items associated with drug trafficking.

Michael King, 37 years-old and Jenine Weiss, 41 years-old, both of Kenora have been charged with the following offences:

  • Two counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking contrary
  • Break, Enter dwelling house 
  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 contrary

King and Weiss will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Kenora on September 22.
