Staff at the Northwestern Health Unit are reporting two new cases of COVID-19 in the Rainy River District.

As of this morning, the health unit reported active cases in the following areas:

  • 2 in Dryden / Red Lake
  • 14 in Kenora area

  • 40 total in the NWHU catchment area

Health unit staff say follow up with the persons involved -- and their contacts -- has started according to protocol. Anyone who is identified as a contact for these cases will be contacted directly.

In addition, anyone who has symptoms -- or who has been in contact with a positive case -- should self-isolate and get tested.
