Ornge crews were happy to receive doses of the coronavirus vaccine at the Kenora airport last night. As health unit staff work with long-term care homes on vaccinations in the district, paramedics with Ornge will also be helping to ship the vaccine to remote fly-in communities in the Far North.
Dr. Kit Young Hoon at the Northwestern Health Unit says they expect to meet the Feb. 5 deadline for having all long-term care home residents vaccinated with at least the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The Canadian Rangers will be helping to distribute the vaccine to members of remote fly-in communities in the Far North.
