The Lake of the Woods District Hospital is now allowing one designated visitor to visit with their loved ones within the facility, as visiting restrictions ease in Kenora’s hospital.

Hospital staff say designated visitors are those deemed essential to the emotional well-being, health and quality of life of loved ones.

In most cases, visitors should be a close family member or friend. Visiting hours are between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

All designated visitors must bring and wear a mask upon entering the hospital. Visitors will be screened at the hospital’s main lobby, not the emergency room entrance. Visitors will need to identify who they are there to see, and wear a visitor sticker.

Janet Paulson, Infection Prevention & Control nurse, joined Jordan Rivers to chat about the easing of restrictions.
