Two Dryden residents are facing charges following a drug bust. 

On May 31, members of the Dryden Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Canine (K-9) with assistance from Treaty 3 Police Service (T3PS) and Nishnawbe Aski Police Service (NAPS) executed a search warrant on an Earl Avenue residence in the City of Dryden.

Items including cell phones, digital scales, packaging materials and Canadian currency were seized. Also seized was a quantity of Cocaine, Methamphetamine and Fentanyl.

33-year-old Laura Fisk has been arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine - Controlled Drugs and Substances Act 5(2)
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking - Opioid - Controlled Drug and Substances Act 5(2)
  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 - Criminal Code 354(1)(a)

38-year-old Shannon Rousseau has been arrested and charged with the following offence:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance - Opioid - Controlled Drugs and Substances Act 4(1)

Both accused have been released from custody and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on June 20, 2022, to answer to the above charges.
