Children ran around the playground at Ecole Ste. Marguerite Bourgeoys screaming with delight yesterday. The school held a water games day.
Students traded in their books and pencils for water balloons and water guns. Lucas Wykes talks about his favourite activity.
"Probably the water gun tag where two teachers have a water gun and if they spray you you're still in but if they miss you you get to have a water gun and spray your friends," he said.
Students were divided into 16 teams with two teams rotating through 8 stations. There was water gun tag, water balloon baseball, soap boat races and many more fun activities.
Sydney Merlino explains which one was her favourite.
"Where we had to hit the balloons with the bat. It's really fun because once you hit it it usually pops and you get wet," she said.
Hayden Butts says he had a great time.
"We did all these fun games. I just got soaked," he said.
At the end of the day it was every child and teacher to themselves in a full out water brawl which left plenty of soaking wet children smiling from ear to ear.
