The Kenora Youth Wellness Hub operated by the Kenora Chiefs Advisory is getting kids ready for back to school.
A community barbeque and wellness fair was held Wednesday afternoon.
Tess Lavelle-Sutton is the manager of the Hub and says they do this each year just before school starts.
"It's a community collaboration to provide a lot of school supplies for kids going back to school in the fall and it's also to share a lot of the community resources we have here with people," says Lavelle-Sutton.
Lavelle-Sutton says they also had a number of give-aways to kids that showed up.
"We have a free backpack give-away. All of the backpacks are filled with school supplies, as well as fidget toys and resources for back to school."
She says there was also resource fair at the Hub with displays from Firefly, LEAP, WNHAC, Kenora Sexual Assault Center, KACL, the NeChee Friendship Center and the local school boards.
