June 15th 1959 - Febuary 10th 2019

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of James C. Quinton. He was better known as Jim, or Jimmy. He was born June 15th 1959, and lost his battle to multiple myeloma cancer on Febuary 10th 2019 with his wife Grace Quinton by his side.

Jim is survived by his wife Grace, daughter Ashley, sons Russell and Damien. Grandchildren Jennifer, Zeiden, Kyrstin, Layla, Mikaela, Hannah, and with one more thats due July 18th. Parents James and Shirley. His three sisters Charlotte, Katherine, & Janie, and his beloved chihuahuas Chiquita & Mia. Jim is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nephews and niece, cousins, friends, coworkers and others.

Jim will be greatly missed by many. If you knew him then you knew he loved to talk, he was a real people person who loved to share his knowledge of mechanics, physics, chemistry and so much more with everyone. He loved and respected nature. His favourite tree was the white pine, and one of his favourite places to be was on the lake. He loved to go fishing, hunting, and camping.

Jim was a very proud grandpa of 6 soon to be 7. He was always taking them for quad/machine rides, or letting them pretend to drive his car. Jim loved sharing with people all the things his grandkids were doing and learning. He was an amazing grandfather that loved to bring them tim bits and other treats when he visited, while he would sit and drink his extra large dark roast coffee with one milk and two sugar.

Jim was a very hard worker, and no matter what he kept working, even through his cancer treatment he stayed positive, and continued to work at his job at Weyerhauser Co. Ltd. Trus Jois. while still working on other things around the yard at home. He loved to work on anything that was mechanical, boats, cars, quads, trucks, the list goes on. Jim was always working on making something work or coming up with his own inventions to make his life easier. Sometimes even making things just to have fun with like a potato launcher, or his own fire crackers of sorts.

I could go on and on about Jim, as he was a great man with many amazing qualities, and had so much to offer this world. His smiling face will be greatly missed.

Jim's wife, Grace and his children would like to invite anyone that knew Jim to please come join us on Monday, Febuary 18th 2019, at the Rideout Community Club (300 Mikado Avenue, Kenora), from 5pm - 8pm.

We do not know what is happening at the Super 8.* So please attend this service to celebrate Jim's life, and his ashes will be present.
