Cameron Harvey and Reed Bodnar scored for Kenora's AAA Midget Thistles last night, but it wasn't quite enough, as they fell 3-2 in overtime to Central Plains in Portage.

After Harvey opened the scoring, Kenora was outshot 19-7 in the second period, and it was 2-1 after two. Bodnar got the tying goal in the third, sending the game into overtime.

Kenora also on the road tonight Souris. With the loss, the Thistles slip two points behind the Winnipeg Bruins into ninth spot. Southwest is 10 points ahead in the standings, after 14 wins in 20 starts.

The Thistles conclude their road trip with a game in Brandon tomorrow, before returning home to face Norman next weekend. There were suspensions following their last game in Thompson, so officials are hoping cooler heads prevail, when Kenora hosts the North Stars next Friday and Saturday at the rec centre.
