The Kenora Midget AAA Thistles managed a split in Pembina Valley, after a 6-3 win yesterday.

Jacob Frankcom led Kenora with two goals and two assists in the game, while Aidan Shumka added three points of his own. Mason Vogrig stopped 27 of 30 shots for the win.

The Thistles were coming off a 5-2 loss to Pembina Valley on Saturday, Shumka and Daunte Derouard scored but it wasn't quite enough. Kenora fans can watch them next weekend, as they host Yellowhead.

The visitors have 14 wins in 21 starts, and they're second only to the Winnipeg Wild in the standings. Kenora's perfectly balanced at 10 wins, 10 losses on the season. They're back into a three-way tie for seventh place.

Puck drop Friday and Saturday is set for 7:30 p.m. at the Thistle Rink.
