Head coach Janet Hyslop of the Kenora Swimming Sharks has been selected to take part in a two-day workshop that supports coaches of athletes that are 0-8 years from an Olympic performance.

The workshop is based on foundational coaching and leadership principles as well as feedback from the Coach Enhancement Program of  leadership assessment of senior and Next Generation coaches across summer and winter sports.

It is focused on developing competencies that are at the core of Canada's World Class Coaching Excellence. Hyslop who is a full time teacher for the KPDSB -- and also coach of Gabe Mastromatteo -- is honoured to be able to participate in the Workshop.

“This is an amazing opportunity for me to continue building on my leadership skills for both my club and my school environment and of course, for Mastromatteo and the goal of 2020,” Hyslop states.
