NHL alumni Joe Murphy has moved to the Lakehead. Staff at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre confirm he has been treated and released from their care.
A report from the Chronicle-Herald says Murphy is making arrangements for an apartment, as well as outpatient care. The Stanley Cup winner was part of the class-action lawsuit against the league related to concussions.
Former players reached out to him last summer, after the former number one draft pick wound up homeless on the streets of Kenora.
