It was a beautiful, sunny day for the 8th Annual Mike Richards Charity Golf Tournament yesterday.

24 teams enjoyed a day of golf, a putting contest, silent auctions and a 50/50 draw, all in support of the Saakate House Women's Shelter.

Richards spoke about the funds raised.

“This year we decided to switch it up and put more money back into the community. This is a great spot to start with the Women's Shelter,” he said.

Throughout the eight years of the tournament, over $200,000 has been raised for charity.
