Rowers from across Canada are on their way home. For the last week, they've called the Kenora Rowing Club home.
After the closing ceremonies, Al Morrow of Rowing Canada talks about the event and the facility.
"We, from Rowing Canada's point of view, are so satisfied. I mean, the most important thing for us is the waterway, and it's a fantastic lake to row on. Weather, of course, cooperated," he said. "But the physical plant is equally as important."
He added the volunteers and the community created a fantastic atmosphere for visitors, which he said was as important as the waterway.
The final medal presentations completed years of preparation by the planning committee.
Four local rowers made Team Manitoba for the 50th anniversary of the Canada Summer Games, with Abby Dent capturing a bronze.
Swimmers continue their events for another week. Gabe Mastromatteo of the Swimming Sharks is in the mix at events in Winnipeg.
