kyleellaBElla Kyle of the Kenora Swim SharksSixteen Kenora swimming sharks attended their first meet of the season this past weekend in Dryden. The meet was hosted by the Dryden dolphin swim club with seven regional teams participating and over 100 swimmers.

The focus of this meet for the sharks was to test their skills early in the season. Outstanding performances of the weekend came from:

Emily Dawe,

Kate McKie,

Eli Dawe,

Matthew Debbo,

Evey Kyle,

Ella Kyle and

Nikolas Hristov

They all had top three performances in their individual events.

New to the pool this weekend were:

Kiera Ficek,

Jaxten Whiting,

Claire Hammett and

Ryan Limerick,

All of these swimmers are ages 10 and under. Hammett, Ficek and Whiting also placed in the top three of their 25m races.

Next for Sharks is the Bisons Swim Meet in Winnipeg November 17. Coach Hyslop is excited for the year ahead .
