Adell Gauthier couldn't believe it. We have snow.
Gauthier leads the charity ride for the children's rehab centre in Winnipeg.
"Believe it or not, we did not have enough snow in Manitoba to be able to successfully offer this event for our riders," Gauthier said Friday. "Some of the guys came out and checked out Kenora. You have fabulous groomed trails here."
Over the last 15 years, the foundation has raised $1 million. Their resources help children in Ontario, as well as Manitoba.
"We actually fund quite a bit of equipment in Ontario," Gauthier added.
Some of the equipment can be a specialized bike, which can cost $1,500 to $4,000 per bike per child. Children may also need more than one piece of specialized equipment, Gauthier added.
The ride also stopped in West Hawk and Minnesota.
