Five-year-old Ronny Nelson-Chartrand couldn't resist a grin, as he savoured his tasty treat.
He was joined by six-year-old Ruby Rundle and her classmates, as they had some great weather for making bannock over an open fire yesterday.
They were using the outdoor classroom behind Keewatin Public School. During a break, she describes how it's done.
"We take the bannock. We put it on a stick. We roast it over the fire and make it golden," she said.
"When we're done, we put butter and jam on it, then we eat it," she added. "It's good!"
