Broncos in Training got a guided tour of Beaver Brae yesterday. Grade 6 students from all the area public schools got to get a feel for the school, in preparation for their move next September. Teacher Sarah Bennett explained.
"Kind of their first reconnaissance of the school so they're not scared when they come here," she said.
Bennett spoke about how they introduced the students to the school.
"They're going to have a personalized tour with Grade 8s throughout the school. They're going to see some of the academy programs. We have some specialty areas, and a some of the academic classes. Kind of every corner of the school. Then they're going to come back here, I'm going to give them a scavenger hunt, and they're going to go off on their own," she said.
Students were also preparing for Tuesday night when it's their turn to lead their parents around the school.
Beaver Brae is hosting a free spaghetti dinner and information session for Grade 6 students and their parents Tuesday December 4.
