Kenora Mayor Dan Reynard says they're still working on the operating estimates for 2019.
"As we discussed the other day, the big concern I have is with the unknown with the government funding," he said, referring to Queen's Park.
The city isn't expected to pass its operating budget until next month. No date has yet been set for the province's budget.
"Again, hopefully, by then we'll have a better idea of -- is it what they (the province) projected originally, or is there going to be changes based on the new government," Reynard continued, noting the change at Queen's Park after the spring election.
Councillors hope to reconvene for more budget talks March 5. Property tax bills also include levies for the services board, school boards, health unit.
