Carole McLuckie is a kindergarten teacher at Valleyview, and her students have been learning the basics of entrepreneurship over the last few days.
"It's a week-long program where they come in, and we teach them about community and the different jobs we have in our own community," she said.
On Friday, the lessons wrapped up with students trying different stations, such as being a contractor, baker or cook.
A special guest to the class was Sierra Parkhill, who has been visiting with kindergarten students at Valleyview. She's been teaching them about business skills and entrepreneurship.
"You've got to get them young," she said. "They're very creative at this age. They're very excited about lots of different things. So, by introducing these words, it's something they'll be carrying the rest of their lives."
The week wrapped up Friday with the students trying out different pretend settings, including a restaurant, bakery and construction site.
