Drivers are reminded to be cautious this morning. Rain and freezing temperatures overnight have made the roads slick.
The highway saw a few accidents that slowed down traffic including one on Highway 17 near Kenora at Hawk Lake, one at the Jones Road, and there was one in Dryden at Rattlesnake Road.All incidents were cleared as of this morning.
According to Ontario 511 highways are bare and wet, while highway 671 from Kenora to Grassy Narrows is partially snow covered, and highway 72 to Sioux Lookout is partially ice covered.
Many highway roads to the West of Winnipeg are being reported as closed by Manitoba 511. The highway to Ontario is mostly snow covered, with some bare areas and remains open.
