The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board says the benefits of efficacy include better test scores, funding for Sioux North High School and hockey academies in five communities.
As part of the restructuring process, Evergreen principal Shannon Bailey says it's been rewarding to be part of a transformation in how the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board makes decisions.
"It's really exciting to be able to be the person that writes the story," she said, after last week's board meeting.
Over the last four years, the board has been working to strip away layers between frontline workers and senior staff, as well as ensure the focal point of their discussions were students in the classroom. Bailey completed the report as part of her masters degree in education.
