Emergency responders are on the scene of a fire at Redden’s Camp's new, under-construction building in Kenora. The fire reportedly started in a nearby garage, that included flammables. Longbow Lake Fire, Kenora Fire, paramedics and the OPP are on scene. The fire was reported just after 12:20 by a passer-by.

The highway is closed at Jones Road for the public’s safety. Redden's Camp and police say that no injuries have been reported.

If anyone has any information about the fire, they are asked to contact the Kenora OPP at 807-548-5534, the OPP at 1-888-310-1122, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Redden's adds that their temporary store will still be up and running, and the camp will honour all reservations over the long weekend. They also took the time to thank the work of emergency responders and volunteers.
