A family's still taking stock, after losing their new home on Thunder Lake in a fire yesterday afternoon. The family had just purchased the home on East Thunder Lake Road, and they were in the process of moving from their old home.
The call came in before 2 p.m., but crews weren't able to save the home. Waterbombers joined in the battle with firefighters from Wabigoon, the City of Dryden and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry.
However, it wasn't quite enough to save the four-storey home. A car was also burnt, but no injuries have been reported.
There are also relatives nearby to help out, during the rebuilding process.
