Intermittent freezing rain is expected to affect portions of Northwestern Ontario today.
Peter Kimbell from Environment Canada talked about the timeline.
"Only today, and only until the temperature rises above zero," he said.
Kimbell said tonight there may be some snow as temperatures drop back down.
"This evening the winds shift to the north and that will bring a change of precipitation to snow. Not a lot, maybe a centimetre or two. Temperatures will go back below zero tonight, with a low of minus 8," he explained.
Tomorrow's expected high is minus 7.
Kimbell said after today temperatures are likely to get back up to the positive side any time soon.
