Gas prices remain at the top of the list for local drivers. A litre of unleaded will cost you $1.36 in Kenora -- or $1.38 in Dryden -- but they can drop to $1 in Winnipeg.
Ontario Energy minister Greg Rickford says he continues to work on ways to keep the province's pledge to lower the price of gas by 10 cents a litre. While the government has scrapped their predecessor's cap and trade system, Rickford says companies haven't passed along the savings to consumers.
According to Gas Buddy.com, the price of gas has increased more 50 cents a litre since the end of October in 2009, when the price was about 67 cents a litre.
