It's going to be an uneventful weekend in terms of weather. Perfect for travelling for the holidays.

Marie-Ève Giguère from Environment Canada.

"It's not a major storm, just a dusting of snow coming up for the weekend. Seasonal temperatures, so nothing too cold, and no warm up either. Just stable, seasonal, nice snow over the weekend," she said.

Giguère said the system isn't going to be significant, just enough snow to put everyone in the Christmas Spirit.

"There is a weak Alberta clipper that's going leave dusty snow. A few centimetres, around 5 cm. So it's going to be a pretty Christmasy looking weekend, and other then that there isn't much going on for the coming days," she said.

Giguère added that the snow should stop by Monday for Christmas Eve, and then we can expect quiet weather for Christmas and Boxing Day.
