Passengers on a Kenora city bus got a bit of help earlier this month, when a teen pulled a knife. That's when Chris Ireton stepped into the fray.
"I felt like I had to do something," Ireton said, recalling the incident.
A lady was having her purse stolen, but Ireton said he wouldn't allow it.
"It was hard to get it away from him, but eventually he let go. I really didn't know what he was up to. He was reaching into his pocket, saying he was going to stab me and stuff like that. Eventually, she (the driver) was able to get the bus door open and we tossed him out," Ireton continued.
A 17-year-old youth was later arrested, taken into custody and charged with a number of offences.
