Treaty Three Police Service are inviting speakers to a special gathering at Powwow Island. It's part of their Not for Sale initiative.

The all-girls event is meant to support strategies against human trafficking. Special guest speaker Alaya McIvor will talk about surviving sexual exploitation.

Other guest speakers will include Manitoba MLA Nahanni Fontaine, as well as Elders Idah and Clifford Skead, along with Sherry Copenace.

Acitivities are meant to strengthen cultural identity in a supportive environment, in order to discourage gender-based violence.
