MP Bob Nault was a special guest speaker at yesterday's Pride parade in Kenora. As he took shelter from the rain, he said it was important to show support and respect the lifestyles of others.
"It's really about respecting people's lifestyles and sexuality. It's just a normal thing," he said.
"Last week, the prime minister raised the Pride flag on Parliament Hill. So, all's good with our diversity in our country, and I just think we've gotta keep working hard at it," Nault continued.
The government member added he was encouraged to see Pride Parades in Dryden, Red Lake and Sioux Lookout, as well as Kenora.
