It looks like Kenora may be on the edge of a housing boom. Mayor Dave Canfield offered an update, after yesterday's committee of the whole.

"These housing developments...Wow! It's coming at a perfect time. We know we have a shortage. We've talked to other people. People who want to move here, they can't get a house. So, this is really good news," he said.

Councillors are reviewing a plan to add 100 social housing units. They will be in addition to social to projects on Rideout Bay and Railway Street.
