Kenora saw a lot of foot traffic in 2018. Josh Nelson, from Tourism Kenora, said overall they were pleased with the turnout in 2018.
"I thought we had a really good season in terms of a tourist season. Our visitor numbers were on par with 2017, so we saw a little bit of an increase last year, and I think the downtown businesses saw that increase as well," he said.
He said there is always room to improve.
"We have some room to build, and I think there are some opportunities coming up in 2019 that are new and exciting that are allowing us to expand on our tourism product. I think moving forward we're only going to see bigger and better," he said.
Nelson said one of the focuses for Tourism Kenora in 2019 will be the winter season.
