The Keewatin Patricia District School Board is committed to making their school's as healthy as possible.
The board showed their commitment by registering all its schools for the Ontario Physical and Health Education Association's Healthy Schools Certification.
The board is the first in province to register all its school's in the program.
By completing the 6-Step Healthy Schools Process over the course of the school year, schools who have registered will earn points and can apply to be certified in April as a Gold, Silver, or Bronze level Healthy School.
Last school year, 16 KPSDB schools received the OPHEA Healthy Schools Certification with 11 achieving gold level certification
