The Stanley Cup still draws a crowd. It was another sold-out event this morning, as the Lakeside Inn was packed for breakfast with Lord Stanley's mug.
The trophy was piped in, with Rick St. Croix of Norman given the honour of carrying it.
Even though they must've had a late night, the stars came out again for the occasion. Broadcasters Scott Oake and Cassie Campbell-Pascall introduced legends like Lanny McDonald.
They'll do more school visits and hockey clinics today, before the gala tonight. It all sets the stage for the main event, Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada tomorrow.
The Kroppy Cup pond hockey tournament begins at 8 a.m. on Golf Course Bay at Anicinabe Park, with the Grand Entry set for the Whitecap Pavilion at 11:00 a.m. with Ron MacLean.
Of course, Don Cherry will be in the Coach's Corner from Kenora tomorrow, as the Midget AAA Thistles will lead a double-header followed by the SIJHL showcast featuring the English River Miners and Fort Frances Lakers.
